Protocols for Scanning techniques of the different vein segments: superficial and deep veins, perforators, abdominal-pelvic veins

Coffee Break

Ultrasound Anatomy of Great saphenous vein, Small saphenous vein, Anterior Accessory Saphenous vein, Giacomini vein/Thigh Extension of SSV, Perforating Veins, Deep veins of the leg and of the thigh, Non-Saphenous veins
Live Demo and Practice of CDU on normal subjects/patients

Afternoon (14-18)

CDU Investigation in: Primary and Recurrent Varicose Veins, Telangiectasias, Post-Thrombotic Syndrome, Pelvic Congestion Syndrome-Female Varicocoele, Venous Ulcer, Venous Malformations
Live demo and practice of CDU scanning on patients

Coffee Break

CDU after Varicose Vein Treatment – Assessment of the outcomes of Surgery and endovenous ablation treatments (Laser, RF, Foam Sclerotherapy etc.)
Live demo and practice of CDU scanning on patients
CDU in endovenous procedures.

Participants may also apply to the faculty members for a personal training further to the course.
